Basic needs security has been shown to have a direct impact on the mental-emotional-physical health, 健康, academic performance, professional development, and holistic success of our students. The BNC helped relieve a lot of external challenges. I used the 食物 pantry daily, allowing me to make academics my priority. It was a space to get a quick snack or heat a meal. The BNC helped me apply for the CalFresh program. I know I would have struggled to focus on school without this resource.
